Reisport® Men's Elite Protec Ring Grips
Elite Protec ring grips combine a Protec laminate palm with a hook-and-loop wrist closure. The palm is a laminate three times the strength of ordinary leather that stretches less than 1%. Elite is the hook/loop closure; the double buckle version is sold as Hyper Protec.
Rings are hard on leather
Strength holds load the palm statically for seconds at a time and swing work abrades it constantly. Protec's laminate construction resists the wear that thins a conventional palm at the dowel and finger holes, which is why gymnasts on heavy rings assignments tend to move to it.
Under 1% stretch holds your hold
A grip that has stretched sits differently on the strap, and on rings that changes how a hold feels before it changes anything you can see. Protec keeps its shape and its bite so the grip stays consistent across a season.
Large dowel, straight silhouette, two finger holes
Ring geometry unchanged from the standard grip: a large rubber dowel wrapping more of the strap for a positive hold, a straight silhouette keeping the palm flat and predictable, and two finger holes at the first knuckle.
Finding your size
Measure from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Measurements below are in inches.
- XS: 6–6.5 inches
- S: 6.5–7 inches
- M: 7–7.5 inches
- L: 7.5–8 inches
- XL: 8 inches and up
If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.
Finger holes should slide to the base of the first knuckle. Check the fit with your coach before use.
Swiss-designed and handcrafted since 1962.
Protec takes longer to break in than natural leather. Start well before a competition, not the week of one.
